Pianist Singer at Gemma and Daniel’s Wedding at Inglewood Manor, Cheshire

I was at one of my favourite venues again yesterday – Inglewood Manor - to perform at the wedding reception of Gemma and Daniel. The drinks reception went very well with plenty of requests from guests and continued through the meal where the songs took the classic route of the singalong once formalities were over.
I have to say I particularly like the staff at Inglewood where nothing is too much trouble and people are made to feel right at home with a smile. Always a pleasure. A fitting venue for such a lovely couple. I wish them both all the best.

Pianist at Will and Susannah’s Wedding at Thornton Hall Hotel, Wirral

I’m just back from performing at Will and Susannah’s wedding in the Torintone Suite at Thornton Hall. They had asked me to perform with the baby grand piano but no vocals (I don’t take it personally…) and just one particular request: “Nightswimming” by REM.
It turns out Will had played in several bands himself and wanted to hear a few new takes on songs that he and Susannah liked. People seemed to like the tango version of Back To Black that I’ve started doing too.
Although I am more used to singing with the piano, the modern instrumentals and piano arrangements of requests from guests worked really well today.. plus a rest day for my voice. Best wishes to the bride and groom!
